"Willow"This is my friend Jackie's dog Willow. Willow passed away April 28, 2009 at 14 years old. She was very much loved and is very much missed by her mom and family. Jackie had this photo on her website and I thought it was a great 0ne so I painted her!!! The painting isn't quite as dark as it looks here and needs a little more touch-up. He is kinda sad and old looking, yet wise and kind. I like the angle of the painting and the colors. I have just been asked to paint pet portraits, so I am in the early stages of learning.

What a wonderful gift!
I did a portrait of Willow too from the very same photo, just before she died. Isn't it a pleasure to have such a beautiful face to draw and paint? I'm so sad for Jackie who misses her dreadfully. It's a wonderful portrait of her.
