The mustang rescue was beautiful today with the fresh snow. 'My' Reno, Chalupa and I think Reno Bay were at one of the hay stands eating. Charlotte, Maude, Star and Sue have stalls in the arena and go out during the day in the pasture. Today I was there to groom and was able to watch them play in the arena before they went out.

Christmas at the Rescue

We went to 'Christmas in the Stable' at the mustang rescue last night. As we all huddled together listening to readings about the birth of Christ and singing Christmas carols, the horses could be heard munching on hay - Braveheart was especially animated! The weather was freezing cold and the refreshments afterward were delicious!

Lexie... she's getting so big!

Yesterday I visited the mustang rescue in Biddeford and groomed 'my' Reno while I was there. He proceeded to run into the arena and roll in the dirt before going out to the pasture.

I also took a few photos of the mustangs and have them here along with the foal, Lexie, rescued and brought to the rescue in July.

Moose is my latest commission - a very sweet Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel... She is a petite girl. Her portrait was a birthday gift!

A few weeks ago I went to Snug Harbor Farm to study and photograph their Mini Shetland Ponies, with the intention of submitting at least one painting to their Prelude Art Show. I missed the show but I thoroughly enjoyed creating the painting! 

Belgian Horse Power: Close Companions - Horse Painting

While gallery sitting this week, I was able to work on several paintings. I finished "Belgian Horse Power: Close Companions"  - that I stared as a demonstration in November: Belgians Demo - WIP.

WCSH Storm Center Sweaters...

This morning before I went to open the gallery, I visited the mustang rescue in Biddeford. Reno was going to put on his WCSH Storm Center Sweater and I was there to help and take his picture! Hopefully he'll be on the Morning Report, Channel 6, so watch each morning!

I also sent in a photo of Dixie in her hat and coat!

Santa Dock Square

Santa arrived by Lobster Boat in Dock Square yesterday afternoon at 2pm. Working our Prelude gallery, we had the perfect view in the warmth inside! Here's Santa with his lobster helpers and Mrs Claus.
