Pat Jeffers (who named this painting) and I do that annually, and always enter into deep discussions about art, styles, techniques, media, subjects, selling...
My focus for 2014 is to clarify my voice as an artist... to unify the division in my work... to integrate my acrylic and pastel styles into a third style that allows the best of both to come together. This requires digging deeper, taking risks, leaving the comfort zone, not resting on prior successes, writing my intentions, accepting never-seen-before results.
