"Sleigh Tenders"image size 27"x21" - soft pastel
This is my first major work in pastel for 2011. I have been working on it since the beginning of January. Monday it fell off my easel onto my back... it was too large to clamp at the top.
It has taken many more hours this week to get it right again. The small image on the computer doesn't do it justice. 'Sleigh Tenders' is going to be issued as a special limited edition giclee; more details are forthcoming.
This pair of Belgians - Charlie and Red - (from Rockin' Horse Stables) pulled Santa through Kennebunkport after he landed by fishing boat, Christmas 2010.
