Today we are celebrating Dixie's 3rd birthday! She was brought to the Arkansas Rescue on October 8 last year, and their vet thought she was about 2 years old. We decided that was a great day to celebrate her special day. She was going to find a safe, warm and loving home with other dogs in her pack. So here's to our Dixie, who has more personality than any dog I've ever met, and who has to have a job to do or she creates havoc! She had her vet check on Tuesday and she's gained 6 pounds! One sign of living the good life!

Here are some of my favorite photos of her!

  4. Hi Jackie,
It hasn't been a year that we've had her yet. But a year ago today she was brought to the no-kill shelter in Arkansas... sort of the first day of the rest of her life. We didn't know her birthday but the vet in Arkansas estimated that she was 2 when she was brought in... So we'll celelebrate that day as her birthday!
